The Potter League's Annual Meeting

Tuesday, October 28
6:00 to 7:30 pm

at the Atlantic Beach Club, 55 Purgatory Road, Middletown 

Bridging the Divide: The Role of the Private Veterinarian in Animal Welfare

Join us for the Potter League's Annual Meeting with a special presentation by Gary Weitzman, DVM, MPH, CAWA, President and CEO of the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. Dr. Weitzman will speak about the future of animal welfare and veterinary medicine as well as safety net programs for animals.

Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by Educational Directions Inc., St. Michael's Country Day School, VanGo Transport and KLR Certified Public Accountants.

The Potter League will close at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28th to allow the staff and volunteers the opportunity to attend the Annual Meeting.

  


 

Howlapalooza: A Halloween Event for You and Your Dog

Saturday, October 25 

1:00 - 3:00 pm

at the Potter League

$10 per family

  

Join fellow dog lovers and dogs for this festive fall event. Dogs of all sizes and ages are welcome to show off their cool costumes as they parade around the Potter League grounds. Enjoy a special presentation by the Potter League's very own "Tailblazers" Doggy Dance Troupe. The event includes a parade that kicks off at 1:30 pm, door prizes, photos, costume awards, obstacle and agility course as well as Tricks and Treats, of course!

Dogs must be dog and people friendly and must be leashed. Dog-safe and comfortable costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. The event is held rain or shine. Pre-registration is not required. For information call 401.846.0592 ext 122



 

Fetching Friends Transport Program

 

Fetching Friends is a Potter League lifesaving program which transports animals from high volume/low adoption shelters to our facility in Rhode Island where adopters are eagerly awaiting their arrival. The Potter League is proud to be a Hill's Science Diet Shelter. Our shelter dogs and cats are fed a nutritious diet of Hill's food during their stay with us.
