Helping Dogs & Cats
1. Put a collar and an I.D. tag on your cat or dog.
The Potter League has free Potter Pet Tags for Newport County Residents, Visit us at 87 Oliphant Lane in Middletown to get one for your pet or pets.

2. When you see a loose or stray dog or cat or any animal that needs help call the Police. The Police will have an animal control officer investigate. Also report acts of animal cruelty to the Police.

3. Be gentle and patient with your own pet. Be kind to all animals.
If your family is having a problem with a pet, call the Potter League
at 401 846-8276 for help. Also come to a class at Potter Pet University.

On the third Wednesday of each month, we offer free classes on pets. Check our website for the latest list of upcoming classes.

4. Make sure your dog, cat and rabbit is spayed or neutered.
YOU will help solve the pet over population problem by making sure
your own pets don't have litters of babies. Talk to your parents about
how important spaying and neutering is. Call for the Potter League for information on getting your pets spayed or neutered.
