Bike\, trolley\, or walk to meet the elephants at Rough Point and participate in this wonderful event. Dine al fresco among Rough Point’s resident elephant herd\, enjoy live music from Chelley Knight & The Dope Things presented by North End Entertainment\, and take in the breathtaking ocean views. \nBring your lawn blanket and/or chairs and your picnic supplies. DESCRIPTION:Join us for TroopTop on Thursday\, August 22 is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with live music performed by Joe Stopsign. They are hosting the exhibition for NetWorks Rhode Island and the Chazan Collection: A Half-Century of RI Artistic Patronage. \nTroopPVD will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales of their specialty cocktail to the Potter League. For over 95 years\, the Potter League for Animals\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, has been dedicated to promoting\, protecting\, and enriching the well-being of Rhode Island’s companion animals. As the state’s largest comprehensive animal welfare group\, they help over 15\,000 companion animals each year. As a 4-star Charity Navigator-rated nonprofit in the top 1% of the nation\, they are dedicated to serving the needs of people and animals in Rhode Island and throughout New England. \nSnacks provided by UNFI Cafe PVD and Gather Farm Ice Cream. \nAbout TroopTop Thursdays\nThe community is invited to TroopTop Thursdays at the WaterFire Arts Center every Thursday this summer\, through August 29. WaterFire Providence and Valley neighborhood restaurant\, Troop PVD\, have collaborated to create a rooftop bar with live musical performances and arts experiences as well as a fundraiser for the featured non-profit organization of the night. TroopTop is supported by Cross Insurance\, US Rubber Lofts proudly managed by Brady Sullivan Properties\, and Boston Document Systems. Programming for each evening is presented by Little Guy At The Gig.
