She is a published author\, researcher\, and speaker\, contributing widely to veterinary literature and education. In addition to her work at AMC\, she fosters kittens for the ASPCA and hosts the highly ranked “Ask the Vet” podcast. \nThe evening will also provide an opportunity to celebrate the Potter League’s accomplishments over the past year and discover the exciting work and initiatives planned for the year ahead. \nThis event is free and open to the public. All great reasons to join us for a little soiree on February 15th! \nWe are opening this event for interested or seasoned dog fosters. We will go over different things you can do with your foster dogs to make their time with you enjoyable and successful. We will discuss what it involves to take on a “unicorn” foster. We will teach you different skills you can implement with you foster dog; such as positive reinforcement\, DIY enrichment\, and different “games” to play with your foster dog. And we will end our event with a little speed dating session with some of our available foster dogs for those who may be interested in leaving with a new foster valentine.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, April 30 at 6:00 PM at the Potter League for Animals for an evening of reflection\, learning\, and community conversation in partnership with the Women’s Resource Center (WRC). \nThe evening will begin with opening remarks and a conversation led by Potter League CEO Brad Shear\, exploring the often-overlooked connection between domestic violence and animal abuse—and how programs like the Potter League’s Pet Safe provide critical support for survivors and their pets. \nWe’ll then screen Tipping Point\, a 20-minute documentary produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Susan M. Sipprelle. This intimate and powerful film features eight survivors of domestic violence as they share the barriers they faced in leaving abusive situations—and reflects the critical role organizations like WRC play in helping individuals rebuild their lives in safety and peace. \nThe title\, Tipping Point\, speaks to both the strength and courage of survivors and the urgent challenges faced by organizations like WRC amid continued underinvestment in life-saving services. \nA Q&A and open community discussion will follow the film. \nThis is a free\, educational event open to all\, but space is limited.Please RSVP below to let us know you’re coming.

First come\, first served.\nRabies\, DHPP\, FVRCP – $10\nMicrochips – $10 \nPlease note this is not a free clinic and payment (cash or card) will be collected during check-in. \nTo be eligible for a three (3) year vaccine\, owners must bring proof of non-expired prior vaccination.
