We are honored to put on a handful of major events throughout the year and lots of smaller events each month that connect us to the public and businesses that are willing to help us serve the needs of the animals in our community.

Our Signature Events keep the pulse of our organization beating, allowing us to support more homeless animals and vital outreach programs than we otherwise could. Our business sponsorships, volunteers, vendors, fundraisers, and promoters are all an essential part of this effort.

Heart & Sole Walk for Animals
Walk, run, be a Hero for the animals. Rhode Island’s largest pet walk and biggest party for pets and people aims to raise essential funds to support our lifesaving work. Join hundreds of animal lovers to celebrate the annual Heart & Sole Walk for Animals. We’ll walk/run with our dogs, enjoy music, food, contests and more. Everyone is welcome, with or without a furry friend. Walk. Run. Save Lives.Â

The Bark & Boogie
The Bark & Boogie brings a fresh, vibrant twist to our long-loved spring celebration, honoring the legacy of LoveBash for Animals while stepping into an exciting new era. This lively evening brings our community together for great company, curated food, handcrafted cocktails, live music, and a dynamic atmosphere filled with joy, connection, and plenty of room to dance.
But the true magic isn’t the music or the festivities — it’s your generosity, which saves lives. Each year, your support helps thousands of animals find safety, healing, and the second chances they deserve. The Bark & Boogie continues this cherished tradition, celebrating the compassion that makes our work possible and the community that believes every animal deserves hope.
Yappy Hour
Each July, the Potter League hosts Yappy Hour, an exclusive summer soirée in support of the Nuala Pell Animal Care Fund. Traditionally set at a distinguished private estate, this open-air cocktail reception draws 300+ guests for an evening that feels as radiant as the season itself—where shimmering summer light, gracious hospitality, and heartfelt purpose come together in unforgettable harmony.
A crown jewel of the Potter League’s calendar, Yappy Hour is an event steeped in generosity, camaraderie, and the shared commitment to ensuring every animal receives the compassionate medical care they deserve. Individual tickets provide access to this signature celebration, offering guests a truly memorable way to deepen their connection to our lifesaving mission.
