Unleash the Canine Enthusiast in Your Child with a Dog Training Adventure!

Dog Detectives is a unique and interactive class that empowers young sleuths to safely interact with dogs and understand their language. Led by not one but two experienced dog trainers, each session features thrilling demonstrations by our staff dogs, unveiling the secrets of canine communication.

What Your Child Will Learn:

  • Safe interactions with dogs
  • Mastering the art of meeting new dogs
  • Understanding how dogs communicate with us through their behavior and body language

Class Information:

  • Age Group: Children aged 8 and up
  • Parents: Parents will not attend the class, allowing children to engage independently and build confidence.
  • Spaces are limited, so don’t wait to enroll your child in this extraordinary adventure! 

The program takes place at the Potter League (87 Oliphant Lane in Middletown) in the Dog Training Center on the first floor of our handicapped-accessible building.

There is a program fee per child for each session they attend. This fee covers the cost of program materials and ensures the program can continue to be offered. If your child wants to attend and you are unable to afford the fee, please reach out to our Humane Education Coordinator at rannin@potterleague.org.
