Tots & Tails

Tots & Tails is a fun, interactive program for children ages 2–5 and their guardians, held Thursday mornings at the Potter League Animal Care & Adoption Center.

Each class features a pet-themed story along with movement and finger play activities that get little bodies moving and imaginations going. Children will also create a take-home craft inspired by the day’s theme, and when our animals and their schedules allow, there may even be an opportunity to meet a Potter pet.

Every Tots & Tails class offers a new experience, so families are welcome to join us for just one Thursday or come back for more. Register for the dates that work best for your family and enjoy a different morning of stories, activities, and animal-inspired fun each time.

Keep Exploring After Class

The fun doesn’t have to end when class does. Families are invited to take a self-guided tour of the Animal Care & Adoption Center following the program.

It’s a chance for children and their guardians to explore the Potter League together, learn more about the animals in our care, and see some of the work happening here every day.

What to Know

Tots & Tails is designed for children ages 2–5. A guardian must attend and participate with their child throughout the program.

Classes are held on select Thursday mornings at the Potter League Animal Care & Adoption Center in Middletown. Registration is available by individual class, so there is no need to commit to an entire series. Choose one class, a few favorites, or join us throughout the season.

Space is limited for each class, and advance registration is encouraged. Available dates and registration can be found below.
