The Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic, located in Warwick, Rhode Island, is committed to ending companion animal and community cat overpopulation by providing high-quality, subsidized spay and neuter services to Rhode Islanders. The clinic uses only the highest standards to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet during his or her stay with us. Through prevention (spaying and neutering) and public education, we can save lives.

Spay and neuter surgery is a personal choice and one that comes with many medical benefits for your pet. Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic offers low-cost spay/neuter services; however, we DO require an appointment by calling 401.369.7297. Please take a look at the following information below and request an appointment when ready.

All pets 12 weeks and older receiving services at our clinic must be accompanied by a current rabies certificate at the time of surgery admission, or a rabies vaccination will be given at no extra charge. A rabies tag and hospital invoices are not acceptable proof of rabies vaccination.

For Dogs

Prices effective June 2024 and subject to change. Please note that we require a $75 deposit at the time of scheduling an appointment for dogs.

  • 2 - 20 lbs. $345
  • 21 - 50 lbs. $370
  • 51 - 75 lbs. $395

Note: Dog prices include pain medication administered in clinic, distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations, two days post-op pain medication, and Elizabethan collars.

  • Difficulty surgery subcharge $50
  • Umbilical hernia repair $50

    (Reducible hernias only, generally on female dogs ONLY)

  • Cryptorchid Surgery $75

Special dog surgery prices are available for high-volume shelters and approved rescue organizations.

For Cats

Prices effective June 2024 and subject to change. Please note that we require a $50 deposit at the time of scheduling an appointment for cats.

Tame Cats

  • Tame Cat Package 1 $185

    Includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo and rabies vaccination

  • Tame Cat Package 2 $205

    Includes spay or neuter with FVRCP, rabies vaccination, flea, de-worm and ear mite treatment

  • Tame Cat Package 3 $255

    Includes spay or neuter with FVRCP, rabies vaccination, flea, de-worm and ear mite treatment, Feline leukemia test, Feline HIV test, and Microchip

Note: Cat prices include pain medication administered in the clinic.

Note: All cats must arrive in a hard plastic cat carrier with handles. Soft sided carriers will NOT be accepted. The carrier should be 16 – 18 inches tall and 22 – 24 inches long. Your cat WILL be declined if the carrier is smaller than what is listed. Only one cat per carrier please.

Community (Feral) Cats

  • Community Cat Package $70

    Includes spay or neuter with FVRCP and rabies vaccination, flea, de-worm and ear mite treatment, mandatory ear tip, and pain medication.

Note: Community (feral) cats must arrive in covered, secure, humane traps. Tame cats arriving in traps will be charged the non-community cat price. Only one cat per trap please.

Special Programs

The Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic periodically receives grants or partners with other organizations to offer free or reduced-cost surgeries.

Central Falls Residents

A grant from the RI Foundation has made it possible for owned cats in Central Falls to have reduced-price surgery, including vaccinations and Microchips. Free transportation is also available. To schedule an appointment, please call the Potter League Spay & Neuter Clinic at 401.369.7297.
